Most objects were offered in the North-Western and Eastern administrative districts of the capital.
Last year, the city sold more than 6,500 parking spaces on electronic platforms, which is 4,000 more than in 2020. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.
Moscow uses different mechanisms for the sale of places for private cars: at auction through open auctions to increase the price, through a public offer and through purchase without announcing the price. In addition, parking spaces can be purchased on a pre-emptive right of redemption. This option is possible for citizens who live in the same house where a parking space is sold, or in a neighboring one.
“Most objects were proposed in the North-Western and Eastern administrative districts of the capital – over two thousand. Every year we see an increase in interest in such auctions: if in 2020 there were 12.5 thousand participants at the auction, then last year there were almost 28 thousand of them. The average level of competition was four bidders per lot,” said Vladimir Yefimov.
More than 1,200 parking spaces were sold at traditional auctions (to increase prices).
Supervisor Moscow City Department for Competition Policy Ivan Shcherbakov said that the highest prices for parking spaces were recorded in the Central Administrative District: the average cost of a parking space here was 499,206 rubles. At the lowest price – 105.5 thousand rubles – a parking space was sold in SZAO.
You can also buy a parking space through a public offer and sale without announcing the price. These options are used if there were no buyers for the objects at traditional auctions. With a public offer, bidding goes down, and the maximum discount can be up to 50 percent. Approximately every sixth lot of the city in this way – an average of 420 thousand rubles.
If the objects have not been sold, then the parking spaces can be put up for auction without declaring a price, when the participants themselves name the cost of a particular object. The winner is the one who offers the highest price.
