81 old houses were dismantled in Moscow using smart demolition technology as part of renovation programs. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban planning policy and construction Andrey Bochkarev.

“Since the beginning of the renovation program in Moscow, 177 new houses with a capacity of 2.3 million square meters have been built and put into operation, of which 149 new buildings have been transferred for settlement. The construction of 156 houses with a capacity of 2.6 million square meters is underway, 183 new buildings with a capacity of 3.4 million square meters are being designed. Also, 81 old residential buildings were dismantled using the smart demolition technology,” Andrey Bochkarev said.

According to him, the resettlement of 69.7 thousand residents from 421 houses has already begun. 47.6 thousand program participants have completed the move to new apartments, the rest are now in the process of resettlement.

Supervisor Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow Sergei Levkinnoted that recently, in January, the dismantling of two five-story buildings on Black Lake Street in the Kosino-Ukhtomsky district was completed.

“After the release of the territory at the demolition site, new housing construction will begin to ensure subsequent waves of resettlement. Last year, 63 territories were selected, of which 31 are located at the site of the demolition of residential buildings,” Sergey Levkin explained.

Most of the old houses were demolished in the Western Administrative District – 19, in the south-west and in the TiNAO – 18 and 15, respectively.

The renovation program was approved in 2017. About a million Muscovites from 5,175 old houses will move into modern apartments with improved finishes. 534 launch pads have been selected. In total, 177 new houses with an area of ​​2.3 million square meters were built and put into operation within the framework of the program.
