Servicemen of the motorized rifle division and communications unit of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District (SMD) in North Ossetia celebrated the Epiphany with a bath in the water of the Epiphany. In total, about 3.5 thousand servicemen of the Vladikavkaz garrison of the Southern Military District take part in the celebrations, which will last until the end of the day.

Before the start of bathing in the temple-chapel of the Holy Blessed Prince Dmitry Donskoy, located on the territory of the headquarters of the 58th Combined Arms Army in Vladikavkaz, an Epiphany prayer service was held. It was held by the assistant commander for work with religious servicemen, Father Vasily.

After the service, the command and invited guests made a procession. Then Father Vasily served the rite of the great consecration of water and blessed the faithful to perform ablutions in baptismal water.

Heated army tents are equipped near the fonts, and medical service specialists are on duty. After bathing, all participants in the ritual are given hot tea and pancakes with jam.
