The servicemen of the united Russian united military base stationed in the city of Kant in Kyrgyzstan, as well as members of their families, celebrated one of the most ancient Orthodox holidays – the Epiphany of the Lord.

The military personnel of the base took part in the festive service in the Alexander Nevsky Church, which was held by the rector of the temple, Priest Alexander Anoshkin. After that, everyone who wants to take Epiphany bathing in a specially prepared font at a military airfield.

Also, for a more comfortable bathing, heated tents were set up and hot tea was distributed.

The joint Russian base is part of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces and is involved in ensuring the security of the airspace of the CSTO states. It is armed with Su-25 attack aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters.
