Russian servicemen serving in Transnistria celebrated the Epiphany with a bath in ice-cold water.

With the beginning of the event, the rector of the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called, Archpriest Valery, served an Epiphany prayer service and blessed the water in the river by immersing the cross three times, after which everyone who wished plunged into the icy water and performed an Orthodox rite.

During the holiday, the sound accompaniment of the event was provided by the military band of the Operational Group of Russian Forces in the Pridnestrovian region of the Republic of Moldova, and the logistics specialists prepared porridge and tea in the field kitchen and organized the distribution of the dish to everyone.
