The specialists made comfortable sidewalks, replaced the asphalt on the roads, and installed more than 150 lamps and street lamps.

Specialists of the municipal economy complex improved the territory near three stations of the second Moscow Central Diameter (MTsD-2).

“Last year, work was completed to improve the transport and pedestrian accessibility of the territories adjacent to the MCD-2 stations Schukinskaya, Kuryanovo and Pechatniki. The landscaping made it possible to make existing pedestrian routes more comfortable, as well as to equip alternative ones for passengers and local residents,” said the Deputy Moscow Mayor in the Moscow Government for housing and communal services and landscaping

Petr Biryukov.

Within the framework of the project, overhead lines with a total length of about four thousand meters were removed into the cable duct. This made it possible to improve the visual appearance of the space and ensure the safety of communications.

“Comfortable sidewalks were made in the adjacent territories, which were separated from the roadway with curbs, and the asphalt pavement of the roads was replaced,” Petr Biryukov emphasized. “In total, more than 150 street lamps and street lamps were installed near the stations, pedestrian crossings were equipped with contrast lighting poles that make the zebra and the pedestrian on it clearly visible at night.”

In addition, there were parking lots for motorists and cyclists, 11 modern public transport stops. The space near the MCD-2 station Schukinskaya has become a transport hub for buses.

Petr Biryukov added that they paid special attention to landscaping. Specialists planted more than a thousand trees and shrubs, laid 60.7 thousand square meters of lawn.

Over the past three years, the territories around 30 stations of the first and second Moscow Central Diameters have been landscaped in Moscow. Station MCD-2 Kuryanovo opened in July 2020 at the request of local residents. And a year later, in June 2021, the station was launched Schukinskaya. It has become part of the large transport hub of the same name, which combines MCD-2, the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro line and surface urban passenger transport.

Construction work continues at Pechatniki station. It will also be part of a large transport interchange hub.
