On the eve of the Day of Engineer Troops, military personnel of a separate naval engineering regiment of the Baltic Fleet conducted a tactical-special lesson on the detection and disposal of explosive objects.

During the combat training event, the servicemen conducted engineering reconnaissance of the routes for the advancement of military equipment and personnel for the presence of explosive objects, while using Korshun mine detectors, as well as Sokol sapper protective suits.

Also, demining teams with the help of mine detection dogs worked out the detection of anti-tank mines, surprise mines, improvised explosive devices and camouflaged stretch marks and their neutralization using false charges.

When performing combat training tasks, engineering patrols worked out repelling an attack by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of a mock enemy.

In 2021, naval sappers went out more than 400 times to eliminate explosive ordnance during the Great Patriotic War. During this time, on the territory of the Kaliningrad region, the demining teams of the engineering regiment of the Baltic Fleet, formations and military units of the army corps neutralized about 20 thousand ammunition of various calibers.
