In Antholz, Italy, the seventh stage of the Biathlon World Cup started with the men’s individual race. Army athletes took “gold” and “bronze”.

Biathlon world champion, multiple winner and prize-winner of the European championships senior lieutenant Anton Babikov won the individual race at the seventh stage of the World Cup. The army athlete covered the 20-kilometer distance without a miss on all four firing lines in 49 minutes 46.8 seconds.

Second place went to Tarjei Be of Norway, 9.7 seconds back with two penalties. Rounding out the top three was another representative of CSKA, world and European championship medalist Karim Khalili – 48.5 seconds back, one miss. It is important to note that for Karim Khalili this award was the first personal in the races at the World Cup.
