On the eve of their professional holiday – Engineering Troops Day – the military personnel of a separate marine engineering regiment of the Northern Fleet worked out special tasks as part of a field trip.

At the training ground near the village of Shchukozero (Murmansk region), servicemen of the engineering units marched to the area where the tasks were performed and conducted engineering reconnaissance of the new concentration area. The personnel carried out the laying of tracks and roads in the zone of simulated hostilities using the BAT-2 tracklayer in the conditions of the Kola Arctic.

The tasks of engineering reconnaissance were carried out in conditions of direct contact with a mock enemy and repelling a surprise attack by a sabotage group. The engineers demonstrated high professionalism and coordination of actions – the personnel worked out the elements of blocking a mock enemy, oncoming combat and fire damage.

As part of the lesson, the tasks of installing mine-explosive obstacles, making passages in them to ensure the offensive of the main forces with the help of self-propelled rocket launchers for demining UR-77 and by the personnel of sapper units were worked out, as well as actions for engineering clearance of passages in minefields in conditions of radiation and chemical contamination of the area.
