On the day of the Epiphany, servicemen of the army corps of the Eastern Military District (VVO) on Sakhalin visited the church of St. Nicholas, where a divine liturgy was held.

The festive service was conducted by the assistant commander of the motorized rifle unit for work with the faithful, Archpriest Father Maxim. The Divine Liturgy was also attended by family members of the army corps of the Air Defense Forces.

Many of the participants in the festive service visited this temple for the first time, so Father Maxim told the children about this holy place, as well as about the importance of Orthodoxy in the life of every person.

After the completion of the Divine Liturgy, Archpriest Father Maxim prayed for the health of the servicemen and their families, courage of spirit and stamina in the performance of military affairs.

On this holy day, festive events took place in all Orthodox churches of the Sakhalin Region, which were visited by military personnel of the army corps of the Eastern Military District.
