The territory of Expo-2030 will be located near the Vnukovo airport.

Urban infrastructure is ready for the World Universal Exhibition –Expo— in 2030. Sergei Sobyanin spoke about this during working meeting with Vladimir Putin.

“The infrastructure of Moscow is ready. We have determined with colleagues the approximate location of the future Expo, it will be located near Vnukovo. We did not do it inside the city: firstly, there are no suitable free territories, and secondly, when holding such exhibition events, there is always tension for residents. We made it as close as possible to Vnukovo airport,” said the Mayor of Moscow.

According to him, a metro station will soon be built in Vnukovo, and a new Moscow Central Diameter will also be built here.

“That is the development of infrastructure. In addition, of course, an additional powerful cluster with jobs will be created for the development of the entire territory,” said Sergei Sobyanin.

He thanked the President for the trust and support of the application of the capital to host the international exhibition. “The competition is very big, and the Saudis, and South Korea showed up, and Italy with Rome, even Ukraine. But let’s fight. We have experience in preparing for both the Olympics and the World Championship, which was also held in Moscow. The reviews are the best.”

The World Universal Exhibition (Expo) is the largest international event, the participating countries of which represent themselves to the world. It showcases the latest developments in technology and science, cultural achievements and new architectural masterpieces, and in recent years – initiatives in solving global problems. On this platform, the image of countries is formed and a dialogue takes place between them. If Moscow wins, the exhibition will be held from April 27 to October 27, 2030.
