According to the plan of the exercises, a fire broke out in the book depository of educational literature with the threat of spreading to adjacent and higher rooms.

Fire and rescue units of the city were immediately dispatched to the scene. When a socially significant object ignited, the fire was automatically assigned the third rank.

More than 100 people left the library before the arrival of fire departments. According to legend, heavy smoke prevented five employees and visitors from leaving the building on their own. Four of them were taken out to the street with the help of rescue devices, one person was rescued by a ladder from the third floor through a window.

In addition, during the exercises, an additional input was worked out: communication was lost with one of the units of the gas and smoke protection service. Additional units were formed to search and rescue firefighters. All firefighters were promptly found in one of the smoky rooms and taken out of the building. The simulated fire was extinguished on an area of 105 square meters.

The exercises involved 48 people and 16 pieces of equipment.

Such fire-tactical exercises help to better prepare for real threats. During the exercise, firefighters study the features of the facility, work out how to extinguish the fire, the procedure for evacuating and rescuing people, as well as the procedure for the interaction of fire and rescue units with the administration of the facility and other emergency services.
