Specialists will paint the ceilings, update the cladding, replace the exit steps and adapt the transition for people with limited mobility.

A project for the overhaul of the pedestrian underpass on Borovskoye Highway has been approved. Chairman announced this Moscomexpertiza Valery Leonov.

“As part of the modernization and improvement of transport infrastructure, the Moscow Government pays close attention to the repair of existing and construction of new pedestrian crossings. So, in the near future, in the Solntsevo area, an underground pedestrian crossing located on Borovskoye Highway will be repaired and adapted for people with limited mobility,” the head of the department said.

The underground pedestrian crossing consists of three staircases, an elevator, a tunnel, as well as technical and office premises.

Specialists will renew the lining of the tunnel part, exits and elevator pavilions. The ceilings of the tunnel will be painted, and the steps will be partially replaced. New doors will be installed in the office premises, the floor will be revetted, and wall and ceiling coverings will be restored.

The transition will be adapted for people with limited mobility. Tactile indicators will appear near it. They will also install auxiliary handrails, apply signal stripes and replace elevator equipment.
