Medical specialists of the Southern Military District (SMD) are revaccinating the personnel of the Russian military base in Armenia against a new coronavirus infection.

On the basis of the branch of the district military clinical hospital of the Southern Military District and the medical units of the unit, military personnel and their families, as well as civilian personnel who received a full course of vaccination before August 1, 2021, are being revaccinated.

The compound contains a sufficient supply of vaccine components. Measures for the prevention of viral infections are also provided.

Vaccination is carried out with a two-component drug “Gam-COVID-Vac” (“Sputnik V”) on a voluntary basis and after signing the consent to the introduction of the components of the drug.

Before the vaccination procedure, a mandatory medical examination is carried out. Medical specialists inform patients about the effects of the drug on the human body. After the introduction of the vaccine, within half an hour, all persons are under the control of doctors.

In total, more than 140,000 servicemen of the Southern Military District were revaccinated against COVID-19. More than 40 vaccination posts have been deployed on the territory of the military district and over 60 vaccination teams have been formed, half of which are mobile.
