On the Kamchatka Peninsula, helicopter crews of the Naval Aviation of the Pacific Fleet conducted flights in groups. The main goal of the measures taken was to improve flight skills and evaluate the effectiveness of the actions of naval aviation crews in performing tasks for their intended purpose.

The crews of the Ka-27 shipborne helicopters in anti-submarine and search and rescue versions worked out the coordination of actions in pairs in various weather conditions. Helicopter pilots also conducted training on land and at sea to rescue people in distress, practically interacted with the flight control group of the air unit when pointing helicopters at objects in distress at sea.

In addition, helicopter crews worked out the tasks of transporting oversized cargo weighing up to 3 tons on an external sling, to deliver them to ships and ships of the fleet.
