“Lesson of courage”, dedicated to the Vyazemsky airborne operation of 1942, was held in MBOU secondary school No. 37 of the city of Stavropol with students of the fifth, sixth, tenth and eleventh grades.

The event was attended by servicemen of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Assault Formation of the Guards foreman of contract service Alexander Sergeev and guards sergeant of contract service Sergey Lobanov, who told schoolchildren about the exploits of paratroopers during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

During the event, they talked about the importance of the airborne operation during the Rzhev-Vyazemsky offensive operation of the Soviet troops (01-20.04.1942)

The paratroopers showed documentaries about the course of the operation, and at the end of the “lesson of courage” they performed their poems and songs about service in the Airborne Forces.

Servicemen of the guards unit of the Airborne Forces are frequent guests of schoolchildren in the city of Stavropol. Sergey Lobanov is a talented poet who combines service in the Russian army with the creation of poetry collections, and Alexander Sergeev is a composer and musician, head of the Shturm vocal and instrumental group.

The conversation turned out to be so interesting that schoolchildren and teachers asked to continue the series of conversations on various topics related to the history of the Russian army and the Airborne Forces.
