Library staff No. 245 invites everyone to the memorial evening “Tribute of Grateful Love”, dedicated to the Memorial Day of A.S. Pushkin.

Memorial Day A.S. Pushkin is a mournful date in the history of Russian culture. It was on January 26 (February 10 according to the modern calendar) that the great Russian writer and poet died after two days of struggle for life. He died at the age of 37, but during his short life he managed to write many outstanding literary works that had a long-term impact on Russian culture and society. About the life and work of A.S. Pushkin and the versions of the background of the duel will be introduced by the lecture “The Poet and Fate”. Readers will be able to get more detailed information about the last duel in Pushkin’s life from the books that will be presented as part of the bibliographic review “Secrets, mysticism and mysteries in Alexander Pushkin’s duel”. Everyone can share their favorite works of the poet by taking part in the open microphone “I read Pushkin with inspiration”
