At the Pesochnoe training ground in the Yaroslavl region, a fire training session was held with servicemen of the paratrooper battalions from Ivanovo and Kostroma.

The paratroopers, having made a march on standard equipment from their permanent deployment points, arrived at the training ground, where, under the guidance of unit commanders, they began field exercises.

The main purpose of the lesson was to work out the coherence of the actions of the personnel of the paratrooper units when repulsing a surprise attack during the march, holding the defense area and attacking the positions of a mock enemy.

In addition, the issues of practical firing from the armament of BMD-2K-AU airborne combat vehicles, combat control by commanders of subordinate units in conditions as close as possible to combat were worked out.

During the firing, the personnel of the units fired on the move at emerging targets from the standard armament of combat vehicles at targets located at a distance of up to 1.2 thousand meters.

They also tested the skills of conducting concentrated fire on a separate target, working out the transfer of concentrated fire with part of the firepower to designated targets.

In total, about 15 airborne combat vehicles and more than 150 servicemen of the Guards formation of the Airborne Forces were involved in live firing.
