In the formations and units of the Baltic Fleet, planned comprehensive exercises on combat readiness began.

Planned combat readiness training began in formations and military units of the Baltic Fleet. More than 1.5 thousand servicemen and over 100 units of weapons and military equipment were involved in the training.

As part of the training, military personnel will work out the actions of personnel when raising an alarm, receiving weapons and equipment, preparing equipment for leaving the parks and advancing to concentration areas, where, in turn, the focus is on camouflage, fortification and engineering equipment, equipment preparation and weapons to carry out combat missions for their intended purpose.

Classes will be held in several stages. At the first stage, military personnel will work out actions as part of units, then training will be carried out as part of formations and military units.

At the final stage, at the training grounds of the Kaliningrad region, units of the army corps of the Baltic Fleet will conduct live firing from small arms, grenade launchers, armament of infantry fighting vehicles BMP-2 and BMP-3, T-72B3 tanks at targets simulating tracked, wheeled vehicles and manpower of a mock enemy . Simultaneously with the ground units, naval aviation and fleet air defense crews will work out a set of tasks for their intended purpose.

The formations and units of the army corps of the Baltic Fleet, naval aviation, the fleet’s air defense formations, and the naval engineering service of the fleet are involved in the events.

The result of weekly classes and trainings will be the development of uniform requirements for combat readiness for all military units, in terms of optimizing command and control, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the use of forces and means.
