Two divisional complexes “Iskander-M” in 2022 will go into service with the Central Military District (TsVO). This was announced by the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.

“The missile forces and artillery of the district will be reinforced with two Iskander-M divisional sets,” Lapin said.

In total, in 2022, the military district will receive more than 1,300 pieces of weapons and military equipment, which will make it possible to complete the equipping of two anti-aircraft missile regiments and seven units with modern models.

“Iskander-M” is designed to destroy small and area targets at a distance of up to 500 km, such as missile systems and multiple launch rocket systems, long-range artillery, command posts and communication centers, as well as aircraft and helicopters at airfields.
