Every year, the Wishing Tree charity event is held throughout Russia. It helps children’s wishes come true through the participation of politicians, entrepreneurs, athletes, cultural figures and caring citizens. For example, employees of the capital Department of Finance with colleagues from Nizhny Novgorod and the Republic of Bashkortostan fulfilled the New Year’s dreams of children.
“For children, faith in miracles is important. Such charitable projects allow not only to visit unusual places, meet interesting people, but also to get acquainted with some professions. This is a great opportunity to give a holiday to those who are especially looking forward to it,” said Evgenia Belova, Chairman of the Council of Young Specialists of the Moscow Department of Finance.
Artem Nizamov from Nizhny Novgorod likes airplanes, he studies aerial engineering and wants to become a pilot. The boy wrote about this in the All-Russian project “Wish Tree”. The staff of the Moscow International Airport named after V.P. Chkalov in Nizhny Novgorod.
Artem Nizamov and his family arrived at the airport and met with Yevgenia Belova, Chairman of the Council of Young Specialists of the Moscow Department of Finance, and Vasily Mazhaev, Head of the Center for Planning and Control of Aircraft Preparation.
Artyom was shown how the aircraft is serviced on the ground, told how many operations take place in parallel so that the aircraft with passengers can take off exactly on schedule, and about the specialists needed for the smooth operation of the airport.
Then Artem was briefed with all the crew members. Together with the aircraft commander, Sergei Malinovsky, they examined the Boeing 737-800. Artyom was told about the peculiarities of controlling the aircraft, he studied the structure of the cockpit, asked questions and sat in the place of the aircraft commander.
“Honestly, I always believed that my dream would come true. I have never seen the helm of an aircraft so close, ”he said.
The New Year’s action helped the dream of Elisey Naumov from the Republic of Bashkortostan come true. He had long wanted to see the dashboard of a real plane.
According to Yelisey’s mother, they learned about the action from relatives. “We decided to try and wrote a letter. And we were unexpectedly informed from the Department of Finance of Moscow that they were waiting for Elisha at the Ufa airport. This is the biggest miracle, a huge holiday for Elisha, and we are very happy for him,” said Gulnara Naumova.
Elisey and his younger sister Yesenia arrived at the airport together with the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Lira Igtisamova. They were met by Alexander Andreev, Director General of the Ufa International Airport named after Mustai Karim, and Ildar Shigapov, Head of the Maintenance Center.
“In the endless series of working days, there should be a place for a New Year’s miracle, and we are very happy to be involved in the fulfillment of a childhood dream as part of the “Wish Tree” campaign. Not everyone gets into the cockpit of a passenger ship, so we hope that Yelisey will remember this event for the rest of his life,” said Alexander Andreev.
Yelisey was shown the airport, the control tower, the aircraft arrangement, told about the equipment of modern pilots and was given the opportunity to play the role of a pilot.
Lira Igtisamova noted that it is always a pleasure to help make a childhood dream come true, and expressed her hope that this event will increase Yelisey’s interest in aviation and, perhaps, push him to a deeper study of technical disciplines.
