The military personnel of the Russian peacekeeping contingent ensured the safe entry of more than 400 vehicles and about 1.5 thousand people to Nagorno-Karabakh and back in a day.

The servicemen monitor the situation around the clock and monitor compliance with the ceasefire regime at all 27 observation posts along the entire demarcation line in Nagorno-Karabakh and the Lachin corridor.

“Observation posts of the Russian peacekeeping contingent are operating normally. In order to prevent possible provocations, all cars are subject to inspection, and if necessary, they are inspected, as well as monitoring compliance with the ceasefire regime,” said Ivan Kalinin, a representative of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

All observation posts of the Russian peacekeeping contingent are equipped with Blockpost fortifications designed to protect military personnel from small arms and fragments, as well as to conduct all-round surveillance of the nearby territory.

For the organization of service at observation posts, organization of everyday life, physical training and recreation for the personnel of peacekeeping units, block-modular camps were built, comfortable and modern conditions were created.

To control the current situation, all observation posts are equipped with modern outdoor dome video surveillance cameras.

In accordance with the agreements indicated in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were declared.

To control the ceasefire and hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, a peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is deployed.
