As part of the planned exercise of the Baltic Fleet in training grounds located in the Baltic Sea, the crews of the ships successfully carried out artillery firing at targets simulating the means of an air attack of a mock enemy.

The firing was carried out by the crews of small missile ships Mytishchi, Odintsovo and Zeleny Dol. Illumination artillery shells delivered from the 152-mm divisional self-propelled howitzer “Acacia” from Cape Taran in the Kaliningrad region were used as targets.

Combat exercises were performed at various altitudes and distances using AK-176 and AK-630 shipborne artillery mounts. As a result of the firing, all the targets set were successfully hit.

During the period of artillery firing, all safety standards and requirements were strictly observed. Their provision during combat exercises was carried out by surface ships and support vessels of the Baltic Fleet.

About 20 warships, boats and support vessels take part in the planned exercise of the Baltic Fleet forces, among them are small missile ships and boats, small anti-submarine ships, base and raid minesweepers, fleet support vessels, aircraft and helicopters of the naval aviation of the fleet.
