Snipers of a special forces unit of the Central Military District held a joint exercise in the Samara Region with a peacekeeping brigade, during which they practiced escorting a car convoy with humanitarian aid.

According to the plan of the exercise, charitable organizations delivered a large batch of humanitarian aid to one of the settlements in the conflict zone. Special forces were brought in to provide security and help to the peacekeeping brigade. Sniper subunits secretly advanced onto the routes of the column, created camouflaged main and reserve firing points in the most dangerous directions, and were on duty in their directions for several hours. The snipers had to determine the moment of the sabotage, to assist the peacekeepers in repelling the enemy attack. The special forces worked out interaction with peacekeeping units, electronic warfare, communications and unmanned aircraft crews, conducted live firing to destroy and suppress the enemy, performed single and group firing at moving targets.

Practical actions took place over two days. Motorized riflemen, anti-aircraft gunners and representatives of volunteer organizations also worked out marching tasks in them. In total, about 600 people and 40 pieces of equipment were involved in the exercise.
