To assess the epidemiological situation, the number of hospitalizations is the most important indicator.
The operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus in Moscow reports that 1,459 people were hospitalized in the city per day. Taking into account the dominance of the omicron strain and the characteristics of the course of the disease in this variant of the virus, the number of hospitalizations is the most objective indicator for assessing the situation. 494 people are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices.
Over the past day, Moscow doctors have cured another 5,465 patients. Over the entire period of the pandemic, 1,940,819 people have already recovered. During the day, 26,586 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the city. The share of hospitalizations is 5.5 percent.
During the day, 72 patients died with a confirmed diagnosis of pneumonia and a positive test result for coronavirus.
Now Muscovites with symptoms of SARS can make an appointment with the doctor on duty online. This will minimize the accumulation of a large number of patients at one time. Appointments can be made at mos.ru portal, on the emias.info website and in the EMIAS.INFO mobile application. Patients who do not use digital services can still come to the duty doctor without a preliminary call on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Operational Headquarters reminds: the best prevention of coronavirus infection is vaccination. Vaccination against COVID-19can be done by appointment at one of the vaccination centers based on polyclinics, as well as without an appointment at the points of work of mobile teams in popular public places.
