Modern enterprises, business centers, sports facilities, banks and cafes will appear in the Kaloshino industrial zone. Investments in the redevelopment of the territory with an area of 16.6 hectares will amount to almost 22 billion rubles.
The former Kaloshino industrial zone will be transformed into a modern industrial quarter with high-tech types of production. The draft decision on the integrated development of the site has already been published, the work will be carried out according to the program “Industrial Quarters”. Investments in the redevelopment of the territory with an area of 16.6 hectares will amount to almost 22 billion rubles. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.
Earlier, the project was approved at a meeting of the City Planning and Land Commission of Moscow.
“Another industrial quarter will appear in the east of Moscow. Every year it will bring 1.5 billion rubles to the city budget. Enterprises and public and business facilities will be built here, where 4.2 thousand new jobs will be created,” said Vladimir Yefimov.
The territory of the former industrial zone is located in Golyanovo between Biryusinka Street and 2nd Irtyshsky passage, now there are spare parts stores, car services, a waste transfer station and warehouses.
According to the head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of the city of Moscow Alexandra Prokhorova, it is planned to build more than 286 thousand square meters of real estate on the territory.
“Production will return to the former industrial zone – according to the draft decision, high-tech enterprises will be located in Kaloshino on an area of 166,000 square meters. A technopark, a business incubator and a fire protection facility may also appear there. About 120 thousand square meters have been allocated for public and business development: sports facilities, shops, banks and cafes,” the head of the department noted.
Thanks to the comprehensive development of the territories of the former industrial zones of Moscow, as part of the Industrial Quarters project, the city will receive about 500,000 jobs and almost three trillion rubles in budget revenues. The total investment will amount to more than seven trillion rubles.
The project “Industrial quarters” allows the use of virtually abandoned urban areas. The first agreement on their integrated development was signed in July 2020. It concerned the former industrial zone Oktyabrskoye Pole, the total area of which is 5.92 hectares. Investments in its development will amount to about 14 billion rubles, the budgetary effect is about 1.8 billion rubles. The project implementation period is six years, but the investor plans to complete construction by 2024.
In Moscow reorganize more than 130 territories – this is about two thousand hectares. Among the major projects is the integrated development of sections of the industrial zones Korovino, Kuntsevo, Altufevskoe Shosse, Ogorodny Proyezd, Yuzhny Port and others. More than 500 thousand jobs will appear in the new industrial quarters, and budget revenues will amount to almost three trillion rubles.
