On behalf of the President, the Government continues to work on the development of the Central Ring Road (TsKAD). To increase its capacity in 2022, construction of a new section will begin in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region – bypassing the village of Malye Vyazemy. The changes necessary for this were made to the passport of the investment project “TsKAD” and approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The new section will have four lanes. Its total length will be 4 km. At the site, overpasses will be built across the Smolensk direction railway and inside Malyye Vyazem, a bridge across the Bolshaya Vyazemka River, a tunnel under the main course of the Central Ring Road, as well as noise barriers. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
The implementation of the project will eliminate multi-kilometer traffic jams, remove traffic restrictions for transit trucks, increase the capacity of the Central Ring Road and improve road safety. Travel time in the area of Mozhayskoye Highway after the opening of the new section will be reduced by 7.5 times – from 1 hour to 8 minutes.
The cost of the project, according to the conclusion of Glavgosexpertiza, is 10.9 billion rubles.
The issue was discussed on meeting with vice premiers January 24th. “The construction of new roads and the repair of individual sections must proceed in compliance with all deadlines. At the same time, it is necessary to carefully control the quality of the canvas so that it serves for a long time,” Mikhail Mishustin said.
The document will be published.
