GBU “Highways”

Public utilities employees monitor the weather forecast and the state of the road network.

Until the end of January, it will snow every day in the capital. City services constantly monitor the state of the road network and carry out routine maintenance in accordance with weather conditions.

Today in the city valid 56 snow rafting stations and 38 mobile snow melters that can dispose of about 650,000 cubic meters of snow per day. When there is too much snow, they cannot melt it all at once. In this case, municipal services remove snow in stages on dump trucks.

It takes three days to completely remove a 10-centimeter layer of fallen snow from major roads and streets. For every five centimeters above this norm, public utilities are given an additional day. For yards, the norm is different: a snow cover up to five centimeters high must be removed within five days, but if up to 10 centimeters of snow falls, within a week.

If snow is not removed in the yard or it is done poorly, this must be reported to the management company. Her phone number can be found on the portal “Houses of Moscow”. If there is no response to the complaint, it is worth contacting the government of your district.

You can also report a problem to electronic reception of the Moscow Housing Inspection and to the portal “Our town” on topic “My yard”. Applications related to snow removal are also accepted at the unified information service of the Moscow Government by phone: +7 495 777-77-77.
