As part of the exercise with the Arctic Expeditionary Group of Forces and Troops in the Northern Fleet, the crews of small anti-submarine ships of the Kola Flotilla of diverse forces of the Northern Fleet “Brest” and “Snezhnogorsk” worked out anti-submarine operations in the near sea zone.

As part of the ship’s search and strike group, the ships searched for a mock enemy submarine in the Barents Sea. After the detection of the submarine, the Snezhnogorsk MPK carried out its attack with the conditional use of naval anti-submarine weapons. Counteraction to the ships was carried out by the crew of the diesel-electric submarine “Kaluga”.

After working out anti-submarine missions, the crews of the MPK Brest and Snezhnogorsk conducted joint artillery firing at sea and air targets, indicating the repulse of an attack by surface ships and aircraft of a mock enemy.

Upon completion of combat exercises with weapons, the ships continued to guard the water area in the Barents Sea according to the plan for conducting exercises with the Arctic expeditionary group.
