Alexey Druzhinin became the new head of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport (Roszheldor). The order on his appointment was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The new head of Roszheldor was born in 1973. Graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy with a degree in Jurisprudence.

Alexey Druzhinin has experience in public service. In 2004–2005, he served as head of the legal department of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport. Later he moved to the Ministry of Transport, where he worked until 2014 as Deputy Director of the Department of Legal Support and Legislative Activities, Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Railway Transport, then Director of the Department of Legal Support and Legislative Activities. He is a State Counselor 2nd Class.

Prior to his appointment to the post of head of Roszheldor, Alexey Druzhinin worked for more than five years as the executive director of a non-profit partnership, and later a self-regulatory organization, the Union of Participants in the Market for Services of Railway Rolling Stock Operators.

He was awarded the medal “For the Development of Railways” and the badge “Honorary Railwayman”.
