Subdivisions of radio engineering and anti-aircraft missile units of the Kola air defense unit of the Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Northern Fleet have worked out marches and deployment in positional areas on the territory of the Murmansk region as part of an exercise with the Arctic expeditionary group, which is conducted under the leadership of the commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Alexander Moiseev.

During the marches on standard equipment, the military personnel of the air defense units repelled attacks by sabotage and reconnaissance groups and unmanned aerial vehicles of a mock enemy, worked out measures for radiation, chemical and biological protection when moving through a conditionally contaminated area.

In positional areas and at military training grounds, the crews performed the deployment of equipment, the arrangement of command posts and preparation for combat use.

The final stage of the combat training event was an exercise to prevent an air attack by a mock enemy on strategically important facilities of the Northern Fleet.

In total, up to 1.2 thousand military personnel were involved in the exercise with the Arctic expeditionary group, about 140 units of military and special equipment of coastal troops and parts of the Kola air defense formation were involved.
