Now specialists are reinforcing the landslide slope, laying rain sewers, and installing the walls of the reservoir of local treatment facilities.
Work on the reconstruction of the Krutitskaya embankment is 23 percent complete. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Government of Moscow for urban planning policy and construction Andrey Bochkarev.
“As part of the reconstruction project, work is currently underway to strengthen the landslide slope and install the pile foundation of the embankment structures,” he said.
In addition, the construction of rain sewer chambers and the construction of the walls of the reservoir of local treatment facilities is underway.
The project provides for the reconstruction of the section of the Krutitskaya embankment from the Novospassky bridge towards the Simonovskaya embankment with a length of 755 meters and the construction of new structures for the Krutitskaya embankment with a length of 486 meters. Also, existing retaining walls will be strengthened here and new ones will be built, railway tracks will be dismantled and a local treatment plant will be erected.
Thanks to the reconstruction of the embankment, Muscovites will have a new public space for recreation and walks. In addition, transport accessibility of the Tagansky, Danilovsky, Yuzhnoportovoy districts, territories of residential areas and the Torpedo stadium will improve.
