With the help of federal funding, more than 80 modular gyms and almost 200 smart sports grounds will be built in the regions. These will be modern, well-equipped sports facilities with Internet access so that each visitor can build an individual workout and monitor the correctness of the exercises. Such infrastructure will help attract citizens to sports and a healthy lifestyle.

The work is carried out within the framework of the new federal project “Business Sprint”, which is included in the state program “Development of physical culture and sports.” It was developed under one of the 42 strategic initiatives for the socio-economic development of Russia until 2030. The project provides for the creation in the next eight years of the necessary sports infrastructure within walking distance in cities and villages.

“The health and well-being of people is one of the national development goals set by the President. To achieve it, it is important that every resident has the opportunity to train close to home,” Mikhail Mishustin noted at the meeting of the Government on January 27.
