In the Pacific Higher Naval School named after S.O. Makarov (TOVVMU) in Vladivostok, midshipmen graduated from the secondary special training course.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the headquarters of the Pacific Fleet, as well as veteran organizations. The acting head of the school, Captain 1st Rank Eduadr Moskalenko, thanked the graduates for their diligence in mastering their specialty and wished to serve in the Navy with dignity, preserving and increasing the best traditions of the naval service of Pacific soldiers.

The cadets have completed the educational program, during which they had sea practice on the ships of the Pacific Fleet. Midshipman’s epaulettes were given to all military personnel who successfully trained as ship communications specialists. In the near future, graduates will begin accepting cases and positions on ships of the Pacific Fleet.


In the only higher naval educational institution in the Far East, cadets are trained in seven specialties of higher education: navigation and operation of naval navigation aids, the use and operation of naval weapons of surface ships and submarines, coastal missile systems and artillery, acoustic means, radio equipment of ships and others.

During the existence of TOVVMU, more than 20 thousand officers were trained, of which more than 240 became admirals and generals. 17 graduates and employees of the school received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and Hero of Russia.
