In the new year, the children of specialists from the psychological service of the Northern Fleet took an active part in the creative competition “History of Russia through the Eyes of Children”, dedicated to the memorable and historical dates of the Motherland. This competition is a wonderful opportunity to remember and pass on to the future generation the most important historical events of the country.
The event was organized by the Department of Psychological Work of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the framework of cooperation with the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Geographical Society”. The theme of children’s work was represented by significant events of the country – for each regional center of psychological work, its own nomination was determined, including a number of memorable dates. For example, the children of psychologists from the Northern Fleet presented works in the “Be the first” nomination, reflecting in their drawings such events as the achievement of the North Pole by the icebreaker Arktika, the space flight of Belka and Strelka, the Day of the defeat of the Nazi troops on the Kursk Bulge, the first night ram V. Talalikhin.
Participation in historical competitions contributes to the education of children’s pride in their homeland, forms an interest in studying the heroic past of the country. Artistic abilities were able to show both pupils of preschool educational institutions and schoolchildren under the age of 16. The creative development of children has always been relevant as a condition for the development of personal qualities and self-realization, knowledge of oneself and one’s capabilities, and competitive and project activities within the framework of a psychological service allow one to broaden one’s horizons, form self-esteem of participants, and even strengthen family relationships.
The children’s drawing competition “History of Russia through the Eyes of Children” is held by the Department from January to February 2022. The winners will be announced based on the results of the scientific and practical conference and educational and methodological gatherings “School of Military Psychologist”, during which an exhibition of the best children’s works will be held from March 2 to March 4, 2022.
