Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a working meeting with Governor of the Perm Territory Dmitry Makhonin. The key topic was the preparation for the anniversary of the capital of the Kama region.
The decree on the celebration in 2023 of the 300th anniversary of the founding of Perm was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in July 2018.
Dmitry Makhonin reported on the implementation of major social infrastructure projects. One of them is the construction of a regional music school for gifted children. It is designed for 350 seats. To date, a contractor has already been identified for construction and installation work. The construction of the school is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2023.
“On the eve of the anniversary, active work is underway in the region to implement socially significant projects. Both public and private funds are involved. There is not much time left, so I ask you to pay special attention to meeting the deadlines and work schedules. Our main goal is for most of the facilities to be commissioned in the anniversary year and Perm residents to appreciate the positive changes in their quality of life,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
During the meeting, they discussed the implementation of the construction schedule for the new building of the Perm Art Gallery, as well as the transfer of workshops and valuable exhibits to another room for restoration. Dmitry Chernyshenko recalled that in December 2021, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, as part of working visit in the capital of the Kama region, he instructed the governor to personally supervise the transfer of the gallery to a new building, so that in April the first service would take place in the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral, where it was located.
The governor of the Kama region noted that the restoration workshop and some works from the funds were moved to the premises on the street. Okulov, where all the necessary conditions for the storage of exhibits are provided, began on time. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of March. Also, the general contractor is currently taking measures to adjust the design and estimate documentation for the new gallery building. The changes are related to the presence of existing railway tracks on the Perm I – Motovilikha section.
The topic of the meeting was the construction of sports infrastructure. As noted by Dmitry Makhonin, at the moment the contractor has started preparatory work on the arrangement of the construction site of the future Energia multifunctional complex. Its total area will be more than 16.9 thousand square meters. The complex will include universal gyms, a swimming pool, a mini-football field and running tracks. The design of a sports complex for 10.5 thousand spectators has been completed, the documents have been sent to the Glavgosexpertiza. Construction of the arena is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2022.
Perm has applied to host the group stage of the European Basketball Championship among men’s teams in 2025. If approved, the new stadium will become the central venue for matches. Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that it is necessary to carefully consider the choice of a contractor in order to prevent the failure of construction deadlines.
“The project is complex, large-scale, so I personally control all stages of its implementation. The choice of the performer is of key importance for us now. We intend to attract large professional contractors, including foreign ones, who had experience in building such arenas,” said Dmitry Makhonin.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the Kama region invited Dmitry Chernyshenko to the All-Russian forum “Leaders of Digital Development – 2022”, which is scheduled to be held in Perm in the second half of March.
