The military bands of the Troops and Forces in the North-East of Russia, together with the orchestras of other law enforcement agencies of the Kamchatka Territory, performed a concert for the residents and guests of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky as part of a festival dedicated to the memory of military conductor Valery Khalilov.

The event called “And the music sounds” took place in the concert hall “Oktyabrsky” of the regional philharmonic society. The combined military orchestra, led by senior lieutenant Artur Zaripov, performed the author’s music by Valery Khalilov, as well as other patriotic compositions by famous authors.

The concert was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky for the first time as part of the International Music Festival in memory of Valery Khalilov. The organizers plan to make the festival an annual event and expand the geography of performances by military bands.


The Valery Khalilov Festival is a combination of concerts of various formats that took place in 40 cities across the country, from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad. Musicians and conductors, as a sign of good memory, respect and love for the person of Lieutenant-General Valery Khalilov, for music, for their country, organize concerts in their cities, timed to coincide with the maestro’s birthday.
