The servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent organized the delivery and transfer of targeted humanitarian aid to a large family in the city of Stepanakert, Nagorno-Karabakh.

During the humanitarian action, Russian peacekeepers donated warm clothes, clothes for adults and children, children’s toys, household items, medicines and food packages to a needy large family of seven people.

“Today, a targeted humanitarian action was held in the city of Stepanakert for refugees from the Hadrut region, the city of Hadrut. Family of seven, husband, wife and five daughters. The smallest Sophie is 5 months old. Warm blankets, shoes were given out, and clothes were also given out. Next week, a humanitarian action is planned in the Mardakert region, in the settlement of Chankhatak, to distribute blankets and shoes for families with many children and families of migrants,” said Andrey Kudrin, a representative of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

Since the beginning of this year, more than 50 families have received targeted humanitarian assistance from Russian peacekeepers. The officers of the Humanitarian Response Center have an individual approach to providing targeted assistance. Residents are given basic necessities – clothes and shoes for children and adults, washing powders, gas burners for cooking, kitchen utensils, food kits, bedding sets, pillows, blankets, personal hygiene items, children’s toys, as well as individual first aid kits.

At twenty-seven observation posts, Russian peacekeepers conduct round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and control over compliance with the ceasefire regime.

In accordance with the agreements indicated in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were declared.

To control the ceasefire and hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, a peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is deployed.
