The residential building under the renovation program on Pechorskaya Street will be the fifth new building in the Babushkinsky district, which was handed over for settlement. This was announced by the leader Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow Sergei Levkin.

“It is assumed that in 2022, residents of two old five-story buildings located in the same block will begin to move into a one-section building with 172 apartments. Currently, four new buildings are already being populated on the territory of the district – this is house 12 on Komintern Street and residential buildings on Pilot Babushkin Street (house 29, buildings 2, 39 and 41). The resettlement of nine houses has been completed, the residents of which began to move in 2018–2020,” said Sergey Levkin.

Babushkinsky district became one of the first in the North-Eastern Administrative District, where resettlement began under the renovation program. In total, 93 residential buildings with an area of ​​more than 250,000 square meters are subject to resettlement in the district. 15.3 thousand residents became participants in the renovation program.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. For its implementation, 534 launch pads were selected. Already built and put into operation 178 new houses with an area of ​​2.3 million square meters.
