More than 86,000 people will move to new homes in the district.

The services of loaders and free transport were used by 1,500 families resettled under the renovation program in the north-east of the capital, the head of the Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow Sergei Levkin.

“In the North-Eastern Administrative District, 36 houses are being resettled or completed, in which 2.4 thousand families lived. At the same time, 1,500 families were assisted with relocation, which is about 65 percent of the total,” Sergei Levkin said.

The renovation program in the North-Eastern District is being implemented in 10 districts. It includes 499 houses. Their total area is one million 415 thousand square meters. 81 sites have been selected for the construction of new buildings, to which more than 86,000 residents of five-story buildings will move. 23 residential buildings have been handed over for settlement, 19 old buildings have already been settled.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. For its implementation, 534 launch pads were selected. Thanks to it, about one million Muscovites will be able to improve their living conditions.
