Order dated January 29, 2022 No. 126-r

Extending the cancellation of contributions to the reserve fund of the association of tour operators and reducing the amount of deductions to the personal responsibility fund – such measures to support the tourism industry for 2022 were approved by the Government.

According to federal law, tour operators in the field of outbound tourism must pay annual contributions to the reserve fund of the Turpomoshch association. The fee depends on the number of tourists for the previous year and can range from 50 thousand to 500 thousand rubles. The money is transferred no later than April 15 of the current year.

In 2020 and 2021, due to the coronavirus, the Government actually exempted tour operators from such contributions, setting them in the amount of 1 ruble. Now this rule will apply to 2022.

Also, for 2022, industry participants will pay annual contributions to the personal responsibility fund of tour operators in a reduced amount – 0.25% instead of 1% of the total price of a tourist product in the field of outbound tourism.

Tour operators, by deducting fees, form personal responsibility funds, which are supervised by the Turpomoshch association. These funds are used to help tourists who find themselves in a difficult situation, including due to the bankruptcy of the tour operator.

The decision to reduce the amount of deductions to these funds will not affect the provision of the rights of tourists. There are enough funds in the funds reserved for helping tourists.
