It is necessary to make a temporary roof, install emergency frames and structures to support the building.

Specialists have begun the second stage of emergency response work in the house of Anna Mons on Baumanskaya street (building 53, building 8).

“The so-called chambers of Anna Mons are one of the oldest buildings in the German Quarter. Now the monument is waiting for complex restoration work. This is really urgently needed, as the house is in disrepair. Under our control, specialists have already begun the second stage of priority work. During them, all structures of the building will be strengthened, which will ensure safety for further restoration. It is important to note that during the research work, the specialists managed to find a historical staircase that no one suspected about, ”said the head of the city

Department of Cultural Heritage Alexey Emelyanov.

The object of cultural heritage of federal significance is now in an unsatisfactory condition. The specialists will make a temporary roof, install emergency frames and circles (structures to support the building) under the existing vaults and ceilings, as well as place metal beams above the vaults to transfer loads from emergency structures to the walls.

Earlier, a historical staircase leading to the basement was opened in the monument, as well as the emergency wall was dismantled and the brickwork was made.

Alexei Yemelyanov noted that the house of Anna Mons is surrounded by a beautiful legend, which says that it once belonged to either the favorite of Peter Alekseevich or her relatives, but there is no exact evidence. The first documentary information about the construction of this object dates back to the 1690s.
