Igor Ershov, a firefighter of the special fire and rescue unit No. 7 of the special department No. 1 of the FGKU “Special Directorate of the Federal Fire Service No. 49 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia”, from the city of Nizhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Region, took third place in the International Youth Competition of Social Anti-Corruption Advertising “Together Against Corruption” in the nomination “Best Video”

In accordance with the rules of the competition, the 26-year-old firefighter, together with his colleagues, prepared a video entitled “Start with yourself, stop corruption!” and posted it on the official website of the competition – In an instructive one-minute video, the world “through the eyes of a child” is contrasted with the world of adults, where situations with a corruption component are possible, so the voice-over calls on people to think about their behavior and stop corruption.

Anyone between the ages of 14 and 35 could take part in the competition. Entries were accepted from May 1 to October 1, 2021 in two categories: a social poster and a social video. In total, about 5.5 thousand works were submitted to the competition.

The winners and prize-winners of the competition were determined taking into account the Internet voting. The results of the competition were summed up on the International Anti-Corruption Day – December 9, 2021.

The finalists of the international competition were awarded medals of honor with the symbols of the competition and prizes from the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation.

The competition was aimed at attracting broad public attention to the issues of corruption prevention, educating the younger generation into an intolerant attitude towards corruption.

The competition was organized by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation. Co-organizers are the competent authorities of the member states of the Interstate Anti-Corruption Council and BRICS.
