It is expected that the growth of their productivity by the end of the year will increase by at least five percent.

10 city enterprises of the manufacturing industry became participants in the national project “Labor Productivity” in January, said the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head Department of Economic Policy and Development Kirill Purtov.

“Following the results of the first month of work of the Moscow Agency for Strategic Development and the regional competence center created on its basis, 10 enterprises signed agreements with the city to receive targeted support within the framework of the Labor Productivity national project. Among them are a manufacturer of energy-efficient LED lighting, a leading Russian feed mill, the Moscow Pilot Plant of Drilling Equipment, a meat products manufacturer, and a major manufacturer of cable products,” he said.

Already in the first quarter of this year, enterprises will begin work on the implementation of lean manufacturing practices. It will last six months for each project participant. During this time, experts will collect information about the company’s production processes, and then allocate one pilot stream to identify current problems. Then, in order to eliminate or minimize them, they will analyze and offer individual solutions. Participants will be able to increase labor productivity and work efficiency, improve production systems and the quality of their products. This will benefit competitiveness.

Acceptance of applications for participation in the national project “Labor Productivity” began in January. In 2022, 109 companies will be able to receive free targeted support. Of these, 21 enterprises will become participants in the first stage. At the end of the year it will be possible to see the first results. Productivity growth is expected to increase by at least five percent.
