Design documentation for the construction of a three-story building of a comprehensive school in the South Medvedkovo district in the north-east of the capital has been approved. Chairman announced this Moscomexpertiza Valery Leonov.

“On the territory of the residential complex on Polyarnaya Street, the investor will build a school for 1,100 students, which will provide education under the programs of primary, basic and secondary education. At the same time, the educational institution will provide for the possibility of joint education of children with disabilities and children who do not have such disabilities,” said Valery Leonov.

For the primary school, the building will be equipped with 16 classrooms, classrooms for studying the surrounding world and a foreign language, a game room and three universal rooms for an extended day group. They will also make a wardrobe, a speech therapist’s office and a teacher’s room.

For students of primary and secondary schools, there are universal classrooms, rooms for art and music education, studying the basics of anatomy and physiology, programming, a foreign language and natural sciences. Children will also be able to study at the IT training ground and in the chess club. In addition, they equip rooms for laboratory workshops in engineering physics and natural sciences. There will be practical classes in physics, chemistry and biology.

Labor training is organized in two woodworking and metalworking workshops for boys and in two home economics classrooms for girls.

“For physical education lessons, there are two sports halls with locker rooms, a coaching and inventory room, a gym equipped for children with disabilities. Also, the school will have an assembly hall with a stage, artistic and storage rooms. A library with a reading room and a media library will also work for children and teachers, in addition, the project has a canteen with a dining room,” Valery Leonov emphasized.

The common area will house administrative offices, a methodological office of a psychologist and a speech therapist. The medical block will include a doctor’s office, a treatment room, a vaccination room, a bathroom, as well as a room for preparing disinfectant solutions and storing cleaning equipment. Five passenger elevators with a carrying capacity of one thousand kilograms each will be installed. It will also be convenient for visitors with limited mobility to move around the building and all educational premises. “Three playgrounds for outdoor games, as well as gymnastics and a football field will be equipped in the school yard. Including a platform for holding a solemn line and two training and experimental zones are planned. There will be places for recreation, small architectural forms will be installed, lawns will be laid out and green spaces will be planted, ”added the chairman of Moscomexpertiza.

The plans for 2022-2024 include the construction of 134 new buildings of schools and kindergartens, of which 86 buildings are funded from the city budget. More 48 new buildings It is planned to build on the funds of investors.
