It can become the basis for acquaintance with professions related to mobile and industrial robotics.

A virtual laboratory “Robocompetition” has appeared in the library of the “Moscow Electronic School” (“MESH”). With its help, students will be able to create their own robots and testing grounds for their testing. The results of your work can be shared with other users. Teachers will be able to come up with tasks for students on various issues of robotics – from the development of designs and electrical circuits to programming.

“Robotics is one of the most popular areas of research and experimentation among schoolchildren. Such classes require knowledge of mathematics, physics, technology, and therefore encourage children to pay more attention to the study of these subjects. Creating robots and testing them can not only turn into exciting competitions for participants, but also become the basis for getting to know professions related to mobile and industrial robotics,” said Anton Marko, Deputy Director of the City Methodological Center.

Users of the new laboratory will have customizable elements for creating robots and tracks, as well as a “Resource Library” with examples of ready-made polygons, robots and tests, based on which they can make their own. Users can independently assemble a track with various tasks, for which participants will receive points.

Tasks are focused both on moving along the route chosen by the creator of the test, and on the ability of the robot to make decisions. For example, schoolchildren will have to create a robot that can find a basket at the training ground and place an apple of a certain color in it.

In total, MES has 32 virtual laboratories – in physics, biology, mathematics, computer science, technology, chemistry and drawing. Also available on the resource are more than 56 thousand lesson scenarios, more than 11 thousand video lessons, over 1.7 thousand electronic teaching aids, as well as textbooks, works of fiction, educational interactive applications, tests and assignments for preparing for exams and olympiads.

“Moscow Electronic School” is a project developed by the Moscow Department of Education and Science together with the city Department of Information Technology. The key services of MES are an extensive library of electronic materials, an electronic journal and a diary.
