On February 7, a weekly conference call was held under the leadership of Acting Minister of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Chupriyan.

The department controls the elimination of the consequences of adverse weather events in the regions of Russia. For preventive purposes, the population was alerted, road restrictions were introduced in 11 regions, and 23 municipal units of the RSChS functioned on high alert. At the moment, restrictions remain on 4 sections of roads in the Kamchatka Territory and the Murmansk Region. Increased snow load led to the violation of roofs in the Kaluga, Tula and Ulyanovsk regions, evacuation was carried out.

Thanks to the prompt distribution of forces and means, it was possible to stabilize the situation with flooding in the Krasnodar Territory in the shortest possible time. 19 residential buildings and 105 household plots remain flooded, 31 people are in temporary accommodation centers.

During the reporting period, more than 75 crossings and 4 winter roads were opened in Russia. In total, more than 962 crossings and 162 winter roads are currently in operation. Rescuers control the safety of 75 tourist groups with a total of about 900 people. In 5 regions, 23 avalanches occurred, 29 forced descents were carried out.

Over the past week, fire and rescue units responded to more than 3.4 thousand fires, and volunteer firefighters were involved in the elimination of more than 240 of them. In response to more than 1.3 thousand accidents, more than 360 people were saved. During the rescue and search operations, 136 people were rescued. Including 15 fishermen taken from an ice floe in the Leningrad region.

During the reporting period, the department’s pyrotechnicians discovered and neutralized 27 explosive objects, including 2 air bombs.
