The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia makes a significant contribution to the development of the scientific potential of Russia. In 2021, a pilot operation of a number of developments of the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Russian Emergencies Ministry was carried out. Thus, rescuers from Tver tested a floating caterpillar fire and rescue vehicle. The machine is designed to work in conditions of destroyed infrastructure and in areas prone to floods. High cross-country ability allows the use of special equipment for the evacuation of the population and the delivery of rescue equipment and fire equipment to flooded areas.
The Siberian and Amur Rescue Centers have already carried out trial operation of a multifunctional unmanned aerial system with unmanned aerial vehicles based on a vehicle on an off-road chassis.
This year, among the priority areas of activity of the department, a significant part is occupied by the development of modern models of fire and rescue equipment. Among them, in particular, are multifunctional pump-hose complexes of high and ultra-high productivity, designed to extinguish fires and carry out emergency rescue operations of increased complexity. It is planned to create universal mobile complexes for the prevention and extinguishing of natural fires in the protection of settlements and adjacent territories, ultramodern fire and rescue vehicles based on advanced technologies.
