Moscomarchitecture approved the project for the restoration of a historic building on Prospekt Mira. It belongs to the state budgetary cultural institution of the city of Moscow “Chorus of Soloists”. The building is located at the following address: Prospect Mira, Building 25, Building 2, next to the Svechina – Zimmerman – Morgunov mansion, which has the status of a cultural heritage site of regional significance. So the work will be carried out under the supervision of specialists from the Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage. After the restoration, the courtyard between the buildings will turn into a covered atrium.

“Despite the fact that building 2 is not a cultural heritage site, it is over 100 years old and will be restored in accordance with historical documents. Key changes will affect the courtyard, which will be covered with a glass pitched ceiling and a reception hall will be organized. I emphasize that the construction will be made very carefully and invisible from the side of Prospekt Mira. A similar solution was applied during the restoration of the Polytechnic University. In addition, the color of the facades will change – the walls will acquire a tobacco shade, ”said the chief architect of Moscow, first deputy chairman of the Moscow Committee for Architecture

The total area of ​​the two-storey building is about 300 square meters. According to the project, brickwork and ceilings will be repaired here, walls will be strengthened and plastered, and engineering communications will be replaced. At the same time, the decor in the Art Nouveau style will be preserved. The reception hall will be finished in accordance with acoustic solutions.
