Elevators are replaced at the end of their 25-year service life.

This year by overhaul program 351 new elevators will be installed in houses in the south of the capital. The Southern Administrative District became the second in terms of their number. It is second only to the South-Eastern Administrative District, where 391 lifts will be renovated.

Most elevators – 24 – will be replaced in building 34 on Yaseneva Street. The panel building was built in 1978 according to a standard project, it has 12 floors and 12 entrances. Two new lifts will be installed in each entrance.

The tallest building in the South Administrative District, where elevators are being replaced this year, is located at the address: Kashirskoye shosse, 144, building 1. This is a 24-storey monolithic building with one entrance, built in 1997 according to the Kolos standard project.

The brick house with four entrances on Trofimova Street (building 6) is the oldest in the South Administrative District, where elevators will be updated this year. The eight-story building was built in 1958. Then even the name of the street was different – 3rd Kozhukhovskaya street. In 1966, it was named after Hero of the Soviet Union Vladimir Trofimov, who lived here before the start of the war.

In total, this year it is planned to install more than 2.2 thousand new elevators. In houses whose residents save up money for overhaul on the account of a regional operator, elevators are changed strictly in the year the 25-year service life ends. If there are several lifts at the entrance, they are changed one by one in order to cause less inconvenience to residents.
